By using Atmospheric you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
Atmospheric is for people 18 and over. You need a phone number that can receive an SMS; that number becomes your account.
You are responsible for what happens through your account. If you lose access to your phone number, you may lose access to the account — sign-in is by that number, and we have no other way to verify you.
You may delete your account at any time from inside the app. See deleting your account.
Atmospheric is provided as it is. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service: it runs on infrastructure that can fail, and it is actively being developed.
We cannot recover your messages. They are encrypted with keys held on your device. If you lose the device, or reinstall the app, messages encrypted for the old keys are gone — not withheld, gone. We state this plainly because people are used to services that can restore things, and this one cannot.
The community guidelines are part of these terms. Beyond them: do not attempt to break the service, extract other people's data, or automate mass messaging.
We may restrict or remove an account that breaks these terms.
What you send stays yours. We do not claim rights to it, we do not use it to train anything, and we cannot read it.
Atmospheric is currently free. If paid features appear, they will be optional and announced before they arrive; nothing you have today will be taken away and sold back to you.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
